a5c7b9f00b Trigun takes place in the distant future on a deserted planet. Vash the Stampede is a gunfighter with a legend so ruthless that he has a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head. Entire towns evacuate at the rumor of his arrival. However, the real Vash the Stampede is not the same man that rumor portrays him to be. The enigmatic and conflicted lead character in Trigun is actually more heroic in nature;wella complete and utter idiot at times. Vash the Stampede is the most infamous outlaw on the planet Gunsmoke and with a 60 billion double dollar price on his head the most sought after! This anime was too childish. Taking the godly Cowboy Bebopa comparison, Trigun acts far too whimsical and doesn&#39;t take itself serious constantly in order to keep a straight mentality, and lead the viewer to keep the respectability he should have for the main character, Vash, or any other character for that matter. At times the series attempts to try something new, and doesn&#39;t go back to the roots of an anime, with big eyes, and goofily embarrassed red races, but the show regressesit is watched more, and its integrity is lost in the process. The problem with the American version is the voice acting is terrible. The characters are far too immature sounding to be believable, and when the viewer is supposed to believe Vash can pick targets off from 500 yards out, but can&#39;t sound like at any minute his voice is going to crack, more respect is lost through the cracks of the show yet again.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, the show will never begoodmany of the others out there, but if some people want to believe in it&#39;s decency, it&#39;s their choice. I on the other hand find Trigun to be very lacklustre, and lacking in an overall &quot;wow&quot; appeal that all animes should have. Decent for a few episodes, I don&#39;t recommend sitting through an entire series of this show.<br/><br/>Final Judgement: There are better animes out there– watch them instead.<br/><br/>Scott Trigun is the best (and perhaps only) Japanese spin, on the traditionally American western genre. Upon first viewing, one doesn&#39;t know what to expect of Trigun, the opening sequence would seem to hint to more of a serious, action packed western, but after watching the first tape, one can see that this is not your ordinary, gunslinging western (although there is plenty of gun play). Our hero, Vash the stampede, is hunted throughout the planet Gunsmoke for the $$60,000,000,000 reward on his head. However, Vash&#39;s reputation isn&#39;twell deservedone might think. Vash may be dangerous with a gun, but he refuses to kill, not to mention that his personality isn&#39;t that of a coldblooded outlaw, but more of an eccentric tail chaser. His rather large bounty has attracted the attention of a large insurance company, which has dispatched two of their employees to cut down on the trail of wreckage that follows Vash. As the series progress the story complicates, but I prefer not to get into details when I review (too late for that I suppose). As Vash&#39;s character is developed, the viewer begins to feel sorry for him, and learns why Vash refuses to kill those who are after him. While the series continues to keep its humor, about midway through, the series takes a much darker turn. To be more critical of other aspects of the show, the voice acting is so-so (Milly&#39;s voice is really irritating, although the one scene where we hear her break down and cry sounds really emotional). The music is great, they took the traditional guitar music of the western, and added a slight hard rock/techno twinge to it, although I don&#39;t care for the ending theme. The animation is decent, but by the end of the series, some of the fights start looking really awkward. The plot and characters are entirely original however, making this one of the most unique anime I have had the pleasure of viewing.
